Packing List

Note: You will receive a printable version via email by the end of May.

Residence Hall Items

  • Extra-long twin sheets, blanket and pillow
  • Towels, washcloths and toiletries
  • Shower shoes 

Clothing Items

  • Casual or sports apparel
  • Comfortable walking shoes 
  • Rain jacket and/or umbrella 
  • One business or business casual outfit for Friday’s presentation
  • At least 2 pairs of long pants and 1 pair of closed-toe shoes for the college tour and screen printing activity
  • If you are participating in the Polymer Chemistry or Textile Engineering and Technology groups: Please make sure to pack enough long pants for every day as you will spend most of your project group time (1 to 5 p.m.) in a lab.

Miscellaneous Items

  • Breakfast foods, drinks and snacks. Participants will have access to a microwave in their hall and a micro-fridge in their room.
  • Medications (if applicable). Please refer to the Medication Collection, Storage, Self-Administration and Documentation Checklist for instructions on how to pack your medication.
  • Spending money (encouraged). There will be opportunities for participants to spend time in Talley Student Union, where they may wish to get snacks, NC State Howling Cow ice cream, coffee or purchase items from the bookstore. NC State is a cashless campus, so participants will need a debit/credit card to purchase items.
